Surrounded by Kuju mountain range, it creates a unique ecosystem reflecting various kinds of geological and topographical features. This marsh maintains its vegetation thanks to the cold and pluvial environment, and also by a controlled burning conducted by local people. Tadewara Marsh, a wetland produced by the bounty of nature and human effort, was designated under the Ramsar Convention as an important wetland in the world. タデ原湿原ガイドブック 英語版 Aso-Kuju National Park Tadewara Marsh
